Engraving sheet

A plastic that is ideal for engraving. Because the core is a different color than the top layer, engravings become extra sharp and rich in contrast.

Characteristics
Engraving sheet is perfect for creating long-lasting, high-contrast, and intricate engravings. The laminate comprises three layers of acrylic, including a core and a thin contrasting-colored top layer on both sides. During engraving, when the top layer is removed, the core becomes visible, creating a sharp contrast, enhancing legibility, and forming a distinctive engraving. The level of detail and effect is comparable to printing, with the added flexibility of laser-cutting various shapes and intricate details directly. The material is UV-resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Applications
This material is highly suitable for visual applications such as information signs, creative nameplates, type sheets, warning signs, etc. You can easily cut mounting holes and create special shapes directly. Attractive front sheets (possibly with an extra backing layer) can be crafted, including directly cutting holes for sheet elements. Consider creating dials for measuring instruments or clocks, tool inlays with engraved instructions/layout, etc. Additionally, badges and brooches can be effortlessly made by attaching a magnet to the back of an engraved piece of material.
