Semi-transparent 'milk glass' acrylic. Ideal for lighting applications.

Characteristics
Opal white cast acrylic (pmma). This acrylic lets 48% of the light through, giving you a nice spread of light. It has a glossy surface.

Applications
For instance, you can create light boxes using opal acrylic, as it allows the light from an LED strip to be evenly distributed, concealing the individual LEDs and creating a uniformly illuminated surface. It is also suitable for various fixtures, LED lamps, and other lighting installations. The advantage lies in the ability to laser cut it into any shape, including adding features like mounting holes, ventilation grilles, etc. In model making, opal acrylic finds applications, such as for facades of models.
